Farm Visit

Photos from our farm visit and facts we learnt.

The cows need to eat grass so that they can make milk.

The farmer milks the cows using machines.

The milk is sucked from the cows' udders through pipes. Here is Laura looking at the pipe.

The milk goes into a big stainless steel container and a tanker gets the milk and takes it to a factory. We had lunch by the big containers. They were very cold because the milk has to stay cold.

The milk goes to a factory and it is made into cheese, yoghurt and butter.
It is also put into containers for us to buy and have with our cereals.

We were very tired on the way home!

Discovery Time at the beach

Beach. By Sophie

Today we went to the beach.
The beach was exciting because Sienna and I made mermaids. I played with the sand and it was fun because I love sand.
Sienna's dad was parent help. The sand is soft.

At The Beach. By Charli

Today we went to the beach.
First we took off all our shoes.
Then I made a sand castle with Lily.
We had lots of fun because I love playing at the beach.

Beach. By Luke

We went to the beach. Angus and me made a sandcastle with shells. Miss Newfield took a photo of it.
We kept building on until we went back to school.
We loved playing at the beach.

Caterpillars

Kate and Angus took us to their house and showed us their very hungry caterpillars and chrysalis. Thank you for showing us and explaining all about the life cycle of the butterfly.
