Wigram Airforce Museum

This term our Inquiry science topic is 'Flying Flapping Floating'. We are learning all about flight - how do things fly?
We started off with a great day at Wigram Airforce Museum.
First we went to the classroom and Chris taught us about how planes and birds fly and what they need to fly.

Then we went into a huge hanger and saw some old planes called Bristol freighters and andovers. Some of us climbed up into the planes. It was lots of fun going into the cockpit.

After that we returned to school in the bus and made some planes and airports and hangers of our own.

100 days at school celebration

Today we celebrated 100 days at school with Rooms 5 and 6. It was a 'wacky Wednesday' with lots of activities all day related to the number 100.

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
We enjoyed showing everyone what we had made at home about the number 100 and explaining about the different ways to group 100.

The best part was the shared lunch! Then we went to the hall and made a huge 100 with all the children from rooms 4, 5 and 6.
