Farm Visit

Photos from our farm visit and facts we learnt.

The cows need to eat grass so that they can make milk.

The farmer milks the cows using machines.

The milk is sucked from the cows' udders through pipes. Here is Laura looking at the pipe.

The milk goes into a big stainless steel container and a tanker gets the milk and takes it to a factory. We had lunch by the big containers. They were very cold because the milk has to stay cold.

The milk goes to a factory and it is made into cheese, yoghurt and butter.
It is also put into containers for us to buy and have with our cereals.

We were very tired on the way home!
